My “On the Kitchen Table” videos are mainly aimed at newcomers to multirotors, quadcopters, drones and UAVs, particularly to the DJI product range, and the Phantom line in particular. I have how to’s, product reviews, tips, tricks, hints and information for beginners and those in the early stages of the hobby. I film “on the kitchen table” to show people that, like me, you don’t need a workshop and an array of specialist equipment and years of experience to get started and progress with flying these amazing aircraft and enjoying making great aerial videos and stills. So if you have bought, or are thinking of buying, the DJI Phantom 4 or DJI Phantom 4 pro, Inspire 2, Yuneec Typhoon H, or even building your own DJI Flamewheel F450 or F550, GOPRO Karama or considering 3DR Solo, or more then you can do it… on the kitchen table!

While I agree with you in some respects.  Yuneec, I believe is in serious trouble.  At what price point is this new proposed camera and gimbal gonna cost?  This would be the first major upgrade to the Typhoon H since it was first released.I love my Typhoon H, but I would rather see Yuneec come out with some new software APPS, Like Waypoints!  Most of the DJI and even my new Autel Robotics X-Star has Waypoints. It will be interesting to see what pricing they offer and or possible upgrade pricing for current customers.WE shall see.

YEY!!! If true, here's hoping Yuneec don't "Do a DJi" and make the new camera only compatible with the latest Orange Typhoon… I did my 2017 PfCO the other week and the examiner was talking of how DJi promised backwards compatibility for the cameras that come with the Inspire2, but then changed their mind… (yes I know similar cameras are now out for the Inspire1, but the sensors are a little smaller apparently)

There is some speculation that this camera is aimed at the H520 since, as you know, the H520 is being marketed towards the professional end of the drone market.

Thanks for the update. Very credible images.
Looking forward to see what it really is all about.
Given that the new 920 had the same mounting system I hope that it is for the complete H ecosystem. And not just for the 920.
I also like the look of the antenna on the base of the gimbal. Looks like you could remove it and supersize it for great stability and distance.

Who the hell wants a 20 MP sensor if the optics are crap? I pose that question as a "feeling burned" TH owner who had sent my unit in twice to get the original camera properly focused but it never was. So I was essentially stuck with a great aerial platform that took very soft video and had tons of other issues like WB.

Bottom line, they MUST get the optics correct or it will just be a 20MP POS versus the currently mounted POS.

If they come up with a APS-C sensor or at least a 3/4 sensor they kill the other brands and it will be ok the wait. But if they are waiting to mush, and the other brand may come up with something else, Yuneec is toasted.
DJI as a really good marketing program.
And you know how DJI works; even if they don't have to release, they will do a big fuss saying that they will have and then,
    people will wait for it.
See the example of the M200. It was first seen at least 2 months ago, they haven´t release it yet. But people are waiting for to see if it really deliver and could be a match for a Falcon 8 for example. And after they release it, it will take at least 6 moths to all the problems be resolve.
So, if only 9 to 12 months they will have a decent product… but they were the first.
If Yuneec came with a similar camera to the P4P, i´ll probably buy it. But if DJI came in and tell that they will have 3/4 camera on a P5, i will not buy the new Yuneec camera till i see the (possible) new camera of the DJI

    3 things for Photographer
    1. Sensor 1" = follow dji / sensor 2" = leader
    2. Len grade Pro ? f2.8 fixed or f2.8-f16 ( excellent )
    3. Gimbal STRONGER ? can againse strong wind ? Rotate 360 very very smoot like oil head on tripod ? Fly full speed still good angle view ? Pan Let to right still good angle view ?

Put Yuneec ahead of DJI with a 1" sensor? Not even close… more like trying play catch-up in a market where everyone has fallen so far behind DJI. I'm no fanboy, but I use DJI equipment professionally for a reason. Many professionals are buying Prosumer level drones now because of the bang for the buck (i.e. Phantom 4 Pro.) Yuneec is simply trying to nab a portion of this market. With no bias, the Typhoon H was a solid design, but the camera was simply substandard – soft, color issues, etc. If Yuneec wants to get back in this game, they better innovate, not simply try to match.

This is great news (if it turns out to be true, and I hope it is), if Yuneec can offer this at a reasonable price, it's a game changer. One of the (many) reasons for me to upgrade to the H from DJI was the modular design, and the potential for just such an upgrade. An H carrying a camera with similar capabilities to the CGO4 would be a market sector leader.
